He was born on May 24, 1942 in Dublin, GA. to Robert Lee and Claudia Churchwell.

Mr. Churchwell married Alice DiFalco on March 14, 1975 in Spring Valley.

Charles was born on a farm in Georgia and was a true Rockland country boy when he moved here. He worked for the East Ramapo School District for over 44 years, retiring in 2002 and moved to Palm Coast, Fl. 4 years ago. He enjoyed volunteering for the Flagler Hospital In Flagler, Fl. and belonged to the Elks Club in both Haverstraw and Palm Coast.

He is survived by his beloved wife Alice, his loving children, Charles Lee Churchwell, Laura Andersen, William Cestaro and Alyson LaChiana, 6 cherished Grandchildren and sister, Vera Carroll and sister-in-law, Vera Churchwell and his beloved dogs, Duke & Dolly. He was a man with a big heart.

Where services l will be held on Thursday 11:00 am. Entombment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
