She was born on November 19, 1948 in Yonkers, to John Francis and Arlene L. (Kruger) Castle.

Janet worked as a special education teacher for the Yonkers School System. She loved music and going to concerts. She especially loved the Yankees. Janet will be missed by her loving brother and her many friends. Janet is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Castle of New City, NY

her dog, Libby and her two nieces, Marissa Lauren Castle and Dana Elizabeth Castle.

Janet was predeceased by her parents, a brother, John William Castle, and her beloved dogs, Dewey and Josie Marie.

Friends may call Wednesday Feb. 20, 2013 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at the Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday Feb. 21, 2013 at 11:30 am at St. Anthony's Parish Church, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY.

Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
